2.1. Sharing Perspectives on Training from CEOs and HR Managers
During the program, Mr. Tran Trong Hai, CEO of Karcher Vietnam, shared fresh perspectives on the importance of training in businesses, as well as the evaluations and requirements of CEOs when approving training plans. Additionally, Mr. Hai shared practical experiences on the vision and the establishment of a learning environment and the development of a learning culture at Karcher Vietnam.
Following Mr. Hải’s insights, Ms. Phung Thi Luyen, HR Director of LongbienGolf, presented a comprehensive and impressive perspective on the strategy-to-training system and how to build a training plan that meets human resource management needs in a company. She explained how training analysis stems from the mission, vision, and core values of the business, moving through departmental objectives, corporate culture, organizational structure, policies, and competency frameworks. Ms. Luyen provided a holistic view of the crucial role and significance of training within a business.
In concluding her presentation, Ms. Luyen emphasized the importance of developing training programs and creating training plans that align with the overall strategy, business objectives, address current workforce issues, and fit the company’s internal resources, ultimately fostering the company’s cultural development.
2.2. Sharing Perspectives on Training by Training Expert Lam Nguyen Tuan Phuong
After gaining insights from the CEO and HR Manager, Master Lam Nguyen Tuan Phuong guided the guests through addressing the challenges in training plans by exploring four distinct roles: CEO, Line Manager, Trainer, and Trainee. Starting with a deep dive into the complex training puzzle, the benefits of training, and whether training is the best solution for changing the current state in businesses, he led the group to develop a training plan template. This was done skillfully through role-playing activities, team exercises, and diagram building, all in a fun and enthusiastic manner.
One issue that most businesses are concerned about when it comes to training is measuring the effectiveness post-training. What benefits can a company expect from training? How will the training investment be reimbursed? These concerns were addressed by Mr. Phuong through the Kirkpatrick Model for measuring training effectiveness and activities aimed at uncovering the hidden variables of training success.
Training will only truly be effective and sustainable when the company builds a positive, proactive learning culture, making learning a core element of the organizational culture and human development. Through activities such as illustrating the learning culture with drawings, presentations, and revisions, the guests had the opportunity to share their own ideas and perspectives on training.
During the program, Ms. Bui Thu Hien shared, “Thank you to Director Phan Thi Lan Anh, MC Quang Chanh, Ms. Thu Hien, and the HRDC team for being so thoughtful and professional in every little detail—from organizing, welcoming, providing information, to connecting before, during, and after the workshop. Thank you for the open and dedicated sharing from the experts. I’ve never seen a workshop run from morning to afternoon where everyone was still excited and eager to share. The prizes were huge, and they really sparked everyone’s enthusiasm. Our group was so fond of the experience that we stayed until the end to check in before leaving.”
At the conclusion of the program, all three experts answered the questions and concerns from the participants. HRDC also had the honor of awarding four lucky participants with the prize of an Inhouse Training Course worth 30 million VND, offering them the chance to experience HRDC’s training services.
HRDC sincerely thanks the three experts and all the participants for their trust and collaboration throughout the workshop. We hope that all participants will find the most effective solutions for building training plans for their businesses.
